Hello All,

I had previously applied for a Student Visa to study in Canada in 2014. I was approved for the visa but last minute I decided to not go and study. I am now applying for a PR and realized that I had made a mistake in the Student visa application.

There was a section which asked for Employment details and I had mentioned that I was working with Company A but actually I had left the company 1 month back. Essentially I had put my employment details as "2012-06 to Present" but my employment duration was from "2012-06 to 2014-06". I had filled the form in 2014-07. So as you can see I had made a mistake. Can this be seen as misrepresentation?? The officers will most likely have the application made 6 years back and hence it will cause an issue when this does not align with my personal history section submitted in the PR application.

Please let me know your thoughts and what you think about this.

Thanks!
