Hi all,

Some of you may have seen my other thread regarding the Notice Of Assessment. My husband is still trying to change his address with the CRA and his lack of paper trail meant that we had to send them a letter requesting they change the address on file before we can access his NOA or Option 3.

He called in this morning to see if the info had been updated and we're now being told it'll take up to six weeks. I'm wondering what the options are here as six weeks is obviously a long time to delay sending in our application.

If we were to send the entire application in and attach an explanation stating that we can provide the NOA at a later date, would this be accepted or would it mean the application is returned?

(EDIT) Sorry, forgot to add that we have tried the My CRA account online but it's locked and when he calls they ask for the address and none of the addresses he provided are correct so we're thinking the address on file has a mis-spelling or the postal code is incorrect

Many Thanks

I would wait to send the application until you have the NOA. IRCC generally returns applications that they deem to be incomplete.

When i requested all my noa in a letter from them, i said it was required by immigration canada so they only took about a week and it was here

Hii, for the proof of income you can also submit ‘Option C’ as mentioned in Checklist.
If you have online access to your CRA account, you don’t need to wait for CRA to send you anything through mail.
On you CRA account, you can access Option c, it is available immediately after filing tax.

Good luck

She has mentioned that they do not have access to the online CRA account.

@OP: call CRA and mention the NoAs are for a PR application, they might speed things up. Good luck!
