Hello,

After AOR/MEP, I only received one request for Biometrics for my spouse (secondary applicant) and not for mine (primary). I noticed that when I paid the application fee, I only have paid for 1 Biometric Fee ($85).
Could this be the reason why we only received one request, if so, what is the correct way of handling this? Should I pay this online first and wait for the second Biometric request to come?

Thanks,
A*

For anyone in a similar situation: I called CIC and they told me to wait for a Biometrics payment request if needed, but for now just go ahead and have my spouse Biometrics done, nothing to do on my side until asked.

Hi all,

After submitting a CSE and receiving this response I'm getting worried there may have been a glitch on their side, and got request of Biometric on the wrong person (my spouse instead of myself). I am residing in US therefore I would be required to provide Biometrics, while my spouse in Canada and shouldn't:

At present our database indicates you reside in the United States and would therefore be required to provide the Biometrics. It also indicates your spouse resides in Canada, and therefore cannot provide biometrics at this time.

Please provide any address updates via the Case Specific Enquiry form.

Thank you

D.A.

I've sent another CSE asking to clarify, has anyone had experience where a Biometric request was missing or addressed to the wrong person?

I think you pay your biometric fees as well and don't wait for them to ask you to pay. Why delay if you know you will need to pay it. and further, it may speed up your process and avoid delay.
