Minor PR left Canada as a child. Now wants to come back.

I was a minor and a child when got a PR status in Canada.
But due to situation (my parents broke up) my mother goes back home and takes me with her because I was a child.
Now I am 30 and want to study and stay in Canada.
In Austrian visa center they told me that I have status still.

What shell I do? my classes are starting in June.

Your chances of being able to claim that you were removed as a minor diminish with each passing year after becoming an adult. At 30, they are probably very slim and you will be subject to the normal assessment of your compliance with the residency obligation requirements.

I also think that is very unlikely that you can keep your PR status. However the Visa Centre was correct that you still have status in Canada. You would first have to renounce your PR status before you could apply for a study permit.

You can try to apply for a PRTD on humanitarian and compassionate grounds (removed as a minor) but as zardoz already posted: It is very unlikely that you will get that since you are 30 by now.

You basically have two choices: attempt to cross the border, or apply for a PR card/Travel Document. If you wait until after March 15, then you will have to cross by private car/walking in the US, or apply for PR card/Travel Document.

Either has a good chance of losing your current status, but you do hold it.
