Minor international student with mom on work permit

Hi all
I am 17 years old and my mom has come to Canada on work permit. The school says I need to get visitor record before I can attend the school.
Some people are saying that visitor record gets rejected. Is that true? How do I finish grade 12 ?

What is your status in Canada right now? You really need a study permit. A visitor record is if your TRV expired and you want to continue to stay in Canada.
