I am just curious to know .. how many additional points did your friend notice ?

Thanks Guys ..yes I did same thing,11 points added to my existing score..
Wow..422 to 433..Wes pending for spouse(8 points)---Total 441

80. He got in work experience and in skills transferability

I did the same thing but my points didnt go up :( should I make a new profile ?

It will only go up if the new changes are applicable to you personally, not everyone gets a raise..

So what situation will increase your points ? I have more than 1 year work experience in Canada and still working ?

My understanding is the point will increase if you had non-continuous canadian work that previously didn't merit (less than 1 y),
now if the total exceeds one year it will count even if discontinuous.

Wife doctor is correct. If u already got points for canadian work experience nothing will change. My friend had 0 before. His score went up to 511 after this.

Hello everyone,

This is a great news - congratulations to those whose scores went up. :) :)

I am wondering if someone could help me with a few things.

I worked part time for a job from June 2013 to January 03, 2014. My hours on this job weren't consistent, some weeks 15 hours and some weeks 2-25. The total number of hours I worked on this job was 588. Job responsibilities of this position relates to NOC B.

I started another job on January 06, 2014 where I am currently employed, working full time, 40 hours a week. This position relates to NOC A.

My questions are:

1) Will I get points for two different job experiences/NOCs? If so,

2) How do I convert the part time hours to equivalent full time hours? and,

3) With my part time and full time hours, when I will complete two years of experience?

Thanks for your help.

How many points does one get for having CEC? I am trying to figure out what impact this might have on the whole EE stream in the long run.

Canadian work experience With a spouse or common-law partner
(Maximum 70 points) Without a spouse or common-law partner
(Maximum 80 points)
None or less than a year 0 0
1 year 35 40
2 years 46 53
3 years 56 64
4 years 63 72
5 years or more 70 80

My points updated from 35 to 46 as I have more than 2 yrs non continuous experience.
so it all depends on how many yrs your working in Canada total...
