Encouraging info.. Will take reasonable figure hopefully by May 2012....

Cheers

Hi Fariza: There isn't a "link" to which jobs these wages will apply. Loosely, minimum wage would apply to entry level jobs requiring minimal education beyond high school, for example the service industries (food outlets, auto dealerships, cleaning companies, etc). Probably many survival jobs would fall into this category.

Thanks for the info. sir :)

You're welcome.....but it is Ma'am. 8) This was on the noon news today and I thought it might be good news to some.

Thanks for the info Pippin. As we too plan to land in Vancouver, this info. for BC is very informative!

Majority members have had the same case, I believe though 8). But it doesn't mean you gonna catch same in Canada as well (at least with first job). So, BETTER TO PREPARE FOR WORSE.

Best of luck.

I knew someone is going to make a remark about my statement.. I have lived and worked in several countries and never I got offered minimum wage. I do not see why Canada is different, I did my homework and visited the place several times. Most people on here have never been to Canada. As to harsh reality, I have been on this earth long enough to know how it works. Pride has nothing to do with it, knowledge, experience, attitude.
