Minimum time to stay in Canada after arriving for first time

Hi forum, I am sponsoring my wife and daughter and they are gonna receive soon their immigrant visa. Do you know how much time they need to stay in Canada in case any of them wants to return to their initial country to finish other tasks? does it depend on the time to receive the PR Card?

They can make a U-turn once they are done with their landing.

Btw, since your are a PR, you can't answer it yourself?

They can return immediately as long as they are fully vaccinated.

I don't know if this change, I immigrated long ago, that's why I asked. I think I had to wait till receive my PR Card before leaving the country again.

They can return to another country right away but if you want to count the time living with a Canadian towards their RO then you will likely run into problems. When are they moving to Canada permanently? Have you been living abroad? If so I am sure you had to show proof that your whole family is planning on settling in Canada once they receive PR.
