Minimum Income Requirements??

We are filling out our paperwork right now.. We are looking at the Sponsoship Evaluation and have also printed a copy of and instructions for the financial evaluation. It's just Him (my sponsor) and me as spouse under family class. I was under the impression that there weren't any minimum income requirements-since I have no dependents. (he is not in Quebec). So on that paperwork our Minimum is $30,286. Please clarify or explain.. Thank you..

There is no minimum income.

The sponsor can't be recieving an income from welfare. EI and disability are okay. There are a few other requirements as well but no minimum income. You just need to show how you will support yourselves.

Oops, sorry, Thank you sooo much, Clearly I was over thinking and misread it. I see now that it says that you wouldn't use the sponsorship evaluation paperwork (that we must use) if you have a dependent. So when it asks how many people this undertaking involves-which is just me, its not saying anywhere that there is a requirement. Only in the other form we don't have to fill out..

It's alright ;D. I think this was a question for most of us at some point. Just remember that the forms are fairly generic (they're not only used for spouses).
