Hello all,

Will a case move more quickly for and during BGC (for PA) if the sponsor is currently an active duty regular military service member; as opposed to the sponsor being on PR? I know there is a validity process for the sponsor himself/herself which leads to a DM of the latter and has no influence on the affairs of PA's checks but I am thinking a case would certainly move more quickly for a diplomat or an official for the CAN Gov't (obvi a citizen) versus PR residing for 1-4 years per se.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

No - it won't move more quickly. The process is the same regardless whether the sponsor is a PR or Canadian citizen. There are no expedited processes for diplomats or those in the military. Canada treats all applicants equally.

The background check is something that is performed against the primary applicant. The status of the sponsor in Canada has no bearing on the speed of this process at all.
