HI I am considerng migrating to Ontario Canada from Austraila and I have no idea where to start. I have looked at the immigration websites for both Canada and Austraila and just got confused. I am not a skilled worker. I have a friend that lives there that could get me a possible job. If so one could please let me know where to start that would be a great help.

If you want to immigrate to Canada - then you will have to qualify to apply under one of the immigration programs listed on the page below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp

This is the best place to start to get an idea of the options available.

Good luck.

If you are under 30 years old, you are eligible for an unlimited amount of 2-year Working Holiday Visas. Try Googling "Working Holiday Canada for Australians"...should be pretty self-explanatory from there. That type of work permit is open and unrestricted. If you want to leverage that opportunity into gaining your Permanent Residence, be sure to obtain a job in Skill Level 0,A,B. After two years working full-time you will be eligible to apply for PR through the Canadian Experience Class.

Check out the NOC (National Occupational Classification) for more details on particular skill levels.
