I was wondering if anyone had a similar situation as me.

I have a middle name on my birth certificate but it is not on my passport or marriage license, I am the sponsor.

My husband has a middle name which is on his passport but not on our marriage license.

How should I go about filling out the forms when it asks for given names.

If anyone has any advice that would be great!

Thank you

Your husband should use his name including his middle name on the forms. They want the applicant to use his name exactly as it is in the passport. I would use your middle name as well. Then attach an explanation of why the middle names are missing on some documents.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I was he sponsor for my husband. My passport has first and last name only as well as marriage cert. but my birth certificate which I included for proof of citizenship to sponsor my husband, has my middle name written in it.

I wrote my name in the application papers as was in my passport, as that is what is stated in the instructions. I then wrote a short explanation saying that, although on my birth cert it has my middle name, I didn't use it in the application since the instructions state to write your name as is in your passport, which I did.

No issues or concerns for me from cic.
