Mid-Range Neighborhoods in Toronto GTA

Hello Beautiful People,

Our 6-member family will be moving to Toronto iA in March 2013. I am doing my net research, networking and all, but wanted to get a feel of what experienced immigrants think.

At the start, we are looking to rent an apartment/townhouse in a mid-range peaceful neighborhood, with good schools and great access to the TTC/GO systems. The family has never lived in an apartment, so preference is for an independent residence; but it all depends on the rental cost.

Budget around at CAD$1,500/-.

Would appreciate any advice.

For a family of 6 you can get independent residence in Toronto as well as in GTA area.I hope you can get really good houses in CAD 1500.If u want cheaper one you can get it may be around CAD 1200 .But I hope it will be better for you if you get ur residence near ur job place.Do u already got any job offer or u have to search for job after coming here.If u have job offer then I will suggest u some good places to stay that will be near to ur company.If u don"t hve any job offer I will suggest some good places to stay that will help you to search jobs.I don"t understand why u will require GO bus.For going to job which is within Toronto area u require TTC or GTA pass.TTC pass will cost u CAD 126 /MO and GTA pass CAD 154/MO.You have to consider also shopping malls that should be nearby to ur residence.So overall u will get all these in the specified budget.Don"t go to Downtown initially as the apartments are very expensive and u will not get jobs nearby.
