Microbiology related jobs in Alberta....

Hi,
I have done Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from India.
I am on Open Work permit as a dependant.
I am looking for a job related to my field but haven't got any success yet.
Does anybody have any suggestions??
Any help would be appreciated....

I have worked as a microbiology lab technician in India for about 1 and half years.
I am looking for something similar to that, but I wouldn't mind doing something else too as far as it is related to my field.

I would suggest you to take "laboratory technologist" exam and be qualified as "medical laboratory technologist". there is just one book to read and take test. This will open up hospital laboratory jobs for you and be good investment in long term. If you know Phlebotomy, then you can be qualified phlebotomist much quickly but salary may not be as good as laboratory technologist.

Can you pls tell me which exam I have to take or the website related to it..??
I tried finding it online but I got very confused.
One of the websites is from college of medical laboratory technologists of alberta but I m not getting proper direction from that.
One thing is I don't have a a medical laboratory technician diploma.
Do you think can I still appear for the exam you are talking about? ?
