Yes manish u r right if this is security matter then at-least one or two member would have got the visa but no one got the visa so i think this is only quota matter so hopes in jan 2012 you should receive the visa. And now this is only 10 to 15 days matter, after it all the picture will clear

My guess is

They send the passports to the address registered with them. Since they cannot sent/return the passport outside India, they have updated the your agent's India address to that they can return the passports to them.

What is your Ecas status?

Seems like good news is around the corner.

Hi,

Wish you all a very happy new year and God willing, we all meet in Canada this year itself.

My e-CAS is still showing as 'We started processing your application on June XX, 2010.'

As per the link below, once they receive the medical reports, should it not be 'Decision made'? Does it mean that they have not received my Medical Reports / Document Updates or they have not touched my file till date after sending medical / update requests?

I have requested to make some changes in the data entry regarding my DOB(currently it is entered wrong - as per my CAIPS and Medical Form), but I can still access my e-CAS with my wrong DOB even after 2 months since request !!! When they are working hard to reduce the backlogs, is this a normal delay to be expected for making a data entry correction? After all, they have been 'processing' my application for almost two and a half years!!

Fellow forum members, kindly enlighten me on this matter. Thank you for your time.

Sir/ madam,as u have got ur medical done in Oct 2012, it is my considered opinion that ur medical report must have been examined by the CHC/CIC designated doctor nd submitted his/her observation, accordingly, namely: 1.Determination of Medical Assessment code: Whether it is A(suggesting assessed nd finalised) or R,F,B,H OR N,signifying different opinions.
2.Case assessment, whether assessed for M01,SUGGESTING PERFECT or something else.
Yes, after approval given by the designated Medical officer,subject to meeting other conditions,the ecas ordinarily should show "DM".But,at times,it does not change or inexplicably not updated nd remains "IP".
As regards ammendment u have asked for,I think necessary change may have been made or recorded.
Any ways, let us wish nd pray for each other.

I have applied in Feb'10 and since Jan'12 my application is in-process
Got medical call in June'12 and submitted all docs with Passport and landing fee on 21st July'12
Since then online status is dormant
Don't know even CHS has received my docs or not?
Requested my representative to send a reminder to the cruel CHC but haven't received any reply till date.
May be those who have submitted their medicals, will get their PPs back early this year

Hello Parhar51 and Deepbrits,

Thank you for your time and response. Good to see that you both have received your Passport Request along with your Medical Request. Good luck with the rest of the process and hope it be completed ASAP. I guess the pattern followed by London Visa Office in Passport Request is slightly different from New Delhi Visa Office, as they generally ask for it only after a few months from date of your medical.

I understand that sometimes the e-CAS may still be showing the old status even when the file has been reviewed by the immigration officer. I was associating any action taken with modification of my DOB, as this should be evident from e-CAS access which requires to enter DOB. Lets hope that things start to get moving faster this year at least!

I dont know what the hell is happening, If there was any quota system even then there shouldn't be any problem now. God knows whats causing the delay now.

I a few days I will be completing 6 months of sending PP to NDVO and also 12 months from actual In Process date.
Seems like even without sending us the 6-12 months waiting letter NDVO has done just that !!!!

The sentiment is same everywhere. I feel that NDVO would start processing our applications now as the holiday season is over. So, just hold your breath, as it is a matter of a few days now, rather than months or years.
