Means - Completeness Check over and waiting to get the CC or DD Charge for the Applicants as of Dec '16 - 2014 ( the date Dec 16 - 2014 is my assumption )

Regards

Mi means ministerial instruction this has to do with the eligibility check. It means the application has gone through the phase of completeness check but yet to go through the phase of eligibility review.

Does it mean that the column on the left (counted towards cap) are the ones for whom MI review is complete ?

The column on the left refers to the total applications counted these have gone through phase 1 which is phase completeness check and phase 2 which is eligibility review column on the right.

I see. So for example for NOC 2173, it shows phase 1 column as 984 and phase 2 column as 16. So does it mean that apart from the 16 which are pending phase 2, the remaining out of 1000 are done? Or is it that after this 16 the remaining of the 1000 will be taken up for phase 2? I know it's a bit of a confusing question to ask. As it seems from the counts that column 1 + column 2 = number of applications received. Is that the case? Or something wrong in my understanding.. Will column 2 go on increasing to 1000 or decrease to 0. If you get what I mean

Dear Forumites
Below is extracted from CIC website one of the documents for better understanding of procedure.
Hope it wll be helpful to all

9.1. Putting an application into process at the CIO
Following a positive completeness check and final determination of eligibility for processing under Ministerial Instructions, if any, in place at the time of application, the CIO will:
 create a file in GCMS;
 enter “SW1-FED” in the Category field in GCMS;
 cost recover the applicable processing fees and enter confirmation in GCMS;
 record the GCMS file number on the paper file;
 send an acknowledgement of receipt letter to the applicant informing them that their file has been placed into processing and, if applicable, transferred to another office;
 transfer the paper file to the processing office in accordance with existing file transfer policies; and
 transfer the electronic file to the processing office in GCMS by making that office the primary office for processing.

Column 2 will continue decreasing until column 1 is complete 1000. So if there is any pending application in column 2 after column 1 has been completed the application will be returned, however if any of the application s in column 2 do not pass eligibility review it means the 1000 will not be complete as such an application received after now though with slim chances may scale through.

hi all,

I have a question.

it is almost an established fact in this forum that the first column ( number of applications counted towards the overall cap of 1000 ) in cap count status page ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp ) is about 3 months old figure.

now the question is: the figure in new column (pending applications - waiting for MI acceptance review ) would approximately be how old?

my docs reached CIC on 12 dec and I want to gauge my chances here. my noc is 2172.

thank you for your responses in advance.

regards,

someone kindly comment.

Guys, im new to this forum, please help me out.

My documents reached CIC on August 28th and i have applied under NOC 0113- Purchasing Managers

Until now my CC was not charged. I didnt know whether its still pending as there are 178 applications still pending for MI review or it is rejected.

If my application was rejected, how long does it take to get the package back, so that i can re apply under Express entry.

Hello Murali,

Have u checked with CIC helpdesk regarding your file status ?

Or u can send them an email asking the status of you file as well. Thanks

Hi- How should i approach the CIC help desk? do they have any contact numbers? i tried to reach them out on a number shared in the forum but im unsuccessful in reaching them and they are asking for the application number.
i even sent an e-mail to cio-sydney-search-enquiry@cic.gc.ca enquiring about my application status, unfortunately i havent received any response from them for the past 1 month.

i dont know what else to do.
