thank u for the information.. yes i already applied FSW.. i've done with my medicals and still waiting for the passport request..
my medical result was sent last nov. 27, 2010.. so, it will be almost 4 months na..
i just hope the visa will arrive this year..

is it true that once you received the notice that you are for medical exam already.. like for me, i received it last year Septmber 2010..
then your deadline to arrive canada is after one year... so my deadline would be september 2011 also??

yes, usually your medical result is valid for a year, which will dictate the validity of your visa as well... i had my medicals on sept 16 and in my PPR they stated my visa will be valid until sept 16, 2011... we have been waiting for our visas to arrive since nov. 17 and it's been really frustrating... anyways, we have no other choice but to wait... i'm wondering why it's taken this long for them to request for your passport... you should make an inquiry... it wouldn't hurt...

you'll have to go through assessment with CNO first before you'll know if you are eligible to sit CRNE.
with regards to applying for assessment on both, i suggest you call CNO to have a more accurate and immediate answer. they start accepting calls from 9 AM which is 10 PM Philippines time.

Baby_gurl, kumusta man ang imong apply...buanga man ning akong Phil license karon ra naku na hinomduman nga expired na diay siya adtong akong birthday hehehe...so ako sang hulaton nga ma renew unya ako padala ni sa College of nurses.

Kumusta na man diri tanan? unsa may mga update sa inyong apply. RPN ra ning ako para dili libog, kay busy kaayo wala time nag exam. Timing pod kaloy-an sa Ginoo nga inag karenew ani, basin naa na ang medical request namo...(RBVO - since Sept 2010) ang akong papeles.

your docs must be Assess first by the CNO...(College of Nurses of Ontario) before you can take the CRNE..

The College of Nurses of Ontario is the governing body for registered nurses (RNs), registered practical nurses (RPNs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) in Ontario, Canada.. if you are planning to settle in ONTARIO province.. iba din ang nursing body sa ibang province..
You can visit their website... http://www.cno.org/

you should ask first for their application forms.. then fill it up and comply..
Almost P30,000 ang payment sa assessment.. starting last year JULY 2010.. before it was just around P8,000..

nag request nako sa PRC last month lang. after 3 months pa mag expire ako license but gi-require ko nila mag renew before nila i-process ang verification form from CNO. according to them, dapat daw 7 months before expiration mag renew na sa license. so, i did both at the same day--renewed my license, then requested for them to fill up the verification form afterwards. after a week, nag follow up ko sa PRC if napadala na nila and they did. snail mail lang galing so most likely after a month pa muabot didto. good thing wala na nag dugay sa and they sent it to CNO.

ako gani, i wish i knew about a lot of RN's registering for RPN instead, but nakabalo ko after na nakabayad ko assessment for RN. sige lang, i will do what i can lang especially karon nga i'm still in the process of filling up the BET. I pray nga ma-eligible ko after this. If not, I will consider applying for RPN nalang dayon. bayad napud and wait napud :( Ginoo nalang gyud bahala. I can't afford to go to school when i get there coz i am migrating alone, i am single, will be jobless, i have no family in Ontario and so i have to look for a place to live in and spend for rent pa. so, sariling sikap gyud ako labas ani. hahay...

God bless sa ato tanan! and good luck pud sa imo pag process. at least less hassle imo coz you applied for RPN.

ang assessment is only done by College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). mao pud unta na ako gusto sauna, that's why i paid for assessment for RN registration coz i really want to know if ma-eligible ba ko or not, but then it costs a lot assessment alone. 678 Canadian dollars. i dont know if nag increase na ba sila. Sa british columbia this year lang sila nag increase from 200+ to 500+ (according to my friend).

it's a case to case basis. naa mga RN diri nga na-eligible diritsu pagpa-assess. naa pud uban, maskin naa masterals, gipa-BET pa sila or bridging program before allowed to take CRNE. there's really no way to know ahead but to get yourself assessed.

when mo plano larga and where in Ontario mo? at least you're not alone when you get there.

my bad, totally misunderstood your question. karon pa nako na-get after posting.

for me, i've been planning to leave in May. but for now, wala pa ako visa. i was thinking man gud na if tua na ko sa Canada, who will take care of the requirements that will be needed? hassle na man gud kaayo if ipamalihog pa sa lain tao. like sa ako, i went to college in a different city. tendency is, malangan if you'll rely it all to someone else coz they have things to do with their time. ayha na malihok sa extra time na nila and it's not like dili pa ka pabalik-balikon. unless if there's someone you can really rely on nga kabalo pud kung unsa buhaton para smooth lang pud ang requests and dili sayup and kulang2. that's just for me ha. there are a lot of people in here nga tua na sa Canada when they started processing for their registration.

it's really up to you. :)
