In everyone's experience, generally when you receive a letter stating that you have met the rrquirements for application for permanent residency, how much longer is it until a final decision is made? It's been over a year since we sent in the initial application and we still don't have a decision.

Typically things move quite quickly once you are notified that you have met all requirements.

Note that in your case, you should be expecting longer than normal processing times due to the situation with your stepson and the letter of no intention. Hopefully you are almost there.

Is it generally a positive sign if you have met the requirements?
