Dear all,

I'm from Pakistan and has an offer of Automotive M-Eng program from Windsor University. I'm really not sure about the Canada Automotive sector potential in terms of getting a job after graduating. I request you all to share your thoughts in terms of future prospects of this program

Hi,
Automotive industry goes through ups and downs and currently it is going through slow down. Your thoughts about getting a job or otherwise should only be guided if you have the ability to migrate. If you do then don't let this be an obstacle.

Hi,
I dont know if you had background in automotive. I have been working in auto-industry since 7 years ago. And personally I dont think of a big future of auto-industry.
And speaking of Canada, I believe most job opportunities in vehicle industry are in greater toronto area. So you may also need to take this into consideration if you plan to stay in Toronto in the future.

Tough future for automobile manufacturing in Canada. The better news is the jobs that are likely to remain are not manufacuring but the high skilled jobs. The automotive sector is going through major changes at the moment. Really depends on the curriculum and whether it addresses the car manufacturing of the future or past.

I am currently a mechanical engineer with almost 1 year of job experience but its not related to automotive

currently i am only enrolled in this program, if i come to study this program and not able to find a job in it, then are there other good jobs in which one can be enrolled even if they are not related to core field
