Hey folks!

My med's request came just now.
Does it mean that docs were approved?

Thanks in advance

passing medical examination doesn't mean your application was approved, it is only first step as I recall

I'd say it's a positive sign, they won't ask meds if they are rejecting your application in the first place. And as I've seen for a lot of applicants - rejected applications are never asked for medical examination. Obviously, you can be rejected if you fail medicals, or any other mismatch of verification later on.

Just read this in another topic:

"Hi all I felt I should update you people.
I've been refused today on four reasons
1. You have not satisfied me that u would leave canada at the end of your stay
2.family ties in Canada and in country of residence
3.purpose of visit
4.travel history... "

This guy is from Nigeria and did the medical exams prior to his refusal.

If you do medicals upfront - that means nothing, BUT if you received a request to pass medical exams AFTER you submitted your application - most likely it is approved. The chances of refusing after med request are if there is something wrong in your medical exam, if you hid something in your application, didn't tell the truth, if you made a fraud etc. Other than that it's approved. Medical request is for sure not the first step (as someone mentioned above) - they do a lot of check ups and assessment before the med request.

NemesisBR,

Are you also applying for your spouse (study and work permit)?

Yes, also for my little kid.

We all passed on medicals...
We're waiting on what to do next.

But it's probably sending our passports to get visa stamp.
