Hi guys,

I have passed my medical a while ago (also fully disclosed my chronic kidney issue during medical exam).
Just recently, my doctor has decided to put me on medication to lower my protein in the urine, not because there's a change in my lab results, just because my doctor thinks it's beneficial for me in the long run. The pills cost 3$/month after insurance.

Do I need to inform CIC about this? I'm not sure if this counts as a change of health as my health is still the same but my doctor changed my care plan.

Thank you for the advice!

NO.

Surprised you didn't need procedural fairness since it seems like you will probably require dialysis or kidney transplant at some point but that is good for you.

Well not all chronic kidney disease will end up a kidney failure. Fortunately mine is mild but l need to live with it my whole life.

Thanks for the quick reply.
How about a kidney biopsy result? My son may need to do a biopsy soon but he also previously passed medical.

If there is a change in his health you are supposed to notify CIC. When you get PPR it will ask you to notify if there has been a change in your family composition, health, funds, etc

Thanks that's exactly why I'm not sure. Because there is no change to the health, all tests are stable. Just a biopsy may happen soon as the doctor wants to learn more.

Wait and see what the biopsy says. You only need to notify if there is a significant change which may influence the medical. Best of luck.

Hi! @summerxx How did everything go with your case? I'm having sort of same-same case as you so
Hi there, I shared the biopsy results and the medication status with IRCC through CSE. It looks like they reviewed these during the medical extension when my medical was close to expire.
Hope it helps.
