We got medicals and RPRF on Nov 6. We did our medicals on Nov 22nd. One of my daughters has a bit of a medical issue (surgery in the past). Her case has not yet been received by CIC proper and is under review by immigration doctors in Ottawa for over 2 months. The rest of my family (3 people) passed the medicals without problems as per notes.

My daughter's test results are all very normal, and it's just a past problem that keeps the file under review. I called the doctor who did our medicals, and she says Ottawa does not request any additional tests and that all tests were good, so there's not much we can do from our end.

Was anyone in a similar situation? How long can they keep medical results under review? I would gladly supply any additional tests, but they do not ask for anything...
Thank you for any input.

Hope I don't come off as rude, but can I ask you what the medical issue is?

It was a kidney surgery years ago.
I reckon it's not a problem as long as it doesn't put long term strain on the health care system. Hope you receive CoPR's soon!

Is her kidney function and creatinine normal ? Did u send them a report of her case from a kidney doctor or a surgeon? This is something that will make her pass quickly and that you should have done for sure. Ultrasound report with a serum cemreatinine and a report from a specialiat would have made you avoid all this unnecessary delay.

Good luck my friend.

Just get the results and report and e mail it to them

Thank you very much indeed. The doctor took a serum creatinine test right away and sent it off with other results. It is normal. Now I discuss with the doc we had medicals with obtaining a report from a kidney doctor here and e-mailing it to Ottawa. I don't think I can e-mail it myself. I understand the results are not at CIC proper, they are with medical doctors in Ottawa.

But your doctor can attach these .. write your IME number file number and UCI and send them to ottawa..

Dont wait.. those who are processing are general docs.. they will need a report from a spexialist saying her kidneys are still functioning perfrctly without a risk for progression in tbe future.. i am a doctor that is why i know details. No need to thank me.

Good luck.

I am also in a similar situation. Medical done on 15-Nov and received by CIC Med Branch in first week of December, 2013. I have been checking with CIC since 01-Jan-2014 and keep hearing that my daughter's medical is under review. I guess no other way out but to wait. Good Luck !

I was in a similar situation with regards to Medicals. CIC approved doctor asked me to undergo (which I wont disclose) 3 tests to specialist. The specialist took 4 weeks for final results. So my medicals got stretched over more 3 months. In the end, everything was normal & CIC cleared my medicals. So guys, be patient, if you have disclosed everything to the doctor, they will clear it. Also, its just the time frame the the botherance...

DirectEnergy,

Does your ECAS status say "Medical results have been received"?

No. It only says "we started processing your application on..."
I understand medical results cannot be received by CIC unless they are cleared.

The reason I was asking was because you said that the rest of the family had passed their medical. So I guess the medical results have been received status only comes on when the results for all the family members are received.

Hi,

How did you know your medicals are on review?
Because my kids are done 1 and half months ago and mine was a month ago and there is no feedback from cic. I just learned the my son's was sent just this jan. 24 because of eyesight issues and doctor said it was just fine.
Please help

I e-mailed OttPilot three or four times, and every time they confirmed that my daughter's results were under review. Besides, I ordered notes, and according to them the rest of us passed medicals, while my daughter's medical status was "sent" and "commenced e-Med"
