Hi,

I got medical request on July 18 and got an appointment with the designated doctor on Aug 3, 2013. The doctor stated at that time that if there is any concerns he will call me within 3-4 days. I didnt receive any calls within 3-4 days and I thought everything was ffine and the medicals were sumitted to CIC.

On September I received a call from the doctor and he stated that I will need to come and see him as he cannot state anything on the phone. That was after 1 month I completed the medicals. Then when I went to see him the next day he told me that I needed to re-do the blood test as there was an issue. He told me that I will need to be treated with shots for 4 weeks before he can send the results to CIC. He told that this should be ok.

But CIC also stated that the medicals needed to be completed wiyhin 60 days as supposed to the doctor statemenwhere he stated that my medicals will be submitted after 70-80 days.... Is that not going to affect my medicals??? Seniors please advise.... Im very concerned....

1) Speak to your MD. Tell him you need to let CIC know it will be longer than the 60 day period and ask what reason should be given.
2) Contact CIC and inform them.

Simple.

I just saw the medical request form. It states that I have to undergo the medical test within 60 days but didnt mention if the doctor actually needs to send it within the 60 days. In some forums I found that the a lot of medical results were sent after the 60 days.... Is this true?

if I were in ur shoes, I will ask the Dr. to put it in writing, then I will email CIC the information immediately . Failure to do so might result in refusal. Also to answer ur question, nope, I haven't seen such a situation

It was in Edmonton with Dr. Salopek.
But the problem is that I am in Fort McMurray, No one would convey the message to him and I can't talk to him over the phone. They told me that I have to travel 5 Hours and go see him directly...
