Does anyone know whether eGFR (glomerular filtration rate) is measured in the medicals? I read somewhere on this forum that kidney function is assessed via serum creatinine levels, but what about eGFR, which is a more accurate measure of kidney function?

Don't quote me on this but I think it depends on whether the Medical hasn't expired yet

It has to be within a year right.

Need more opinions.

Medicals are valid for 12 months - if you haven't completed the process in that time frame then you need to get them done again I believe.

6 months minimum validity left when you submit the application. This is recommended as the processing time is 6 months on an average.

But I believe a person cannot redo medicals if the earlier medical is still valid as the e-medical system won't allow it. So basically one has no choice other than submitting with previously done medicals and do medicals again if it expires when the application is under process. CIC will automatically request another medical if the existing one expires while the application is under adjudication.

Please may I ask reason for application rejection?

Its a hypothetical question. People are being rejected because of missing PC's, black and white PC's (they need to be in color), expired PC's (more than 6 months)... and so on..

We all have submitted the applications recently and are quite anxious seeing all the other rejections due to several reasons like PCC, missed docs etc.., and preparing ourselves for worst case. :D

And that too. :D :-\

To OPs question.. they don't check anything other than HIV and Sephylis in blood test. They check kidney function through serum creatinine only if you declare a pre-existing condition like diabetes, hypertension etc.
