You should get request for your (and family member's) medical from CIC. In India, medical TAT is around a week, so I'll suggest you not to go for medical before you receive this request.deadbird said:Do medicals have to done after ITA?
I'm not sure what you mean by "You should get request for your (and family member's) medical from CIC" ?moderator1983 said:You should get request for your (and family member's) medical from CIC. As long as you expect to receive ITA soon, you can of course do your medicals at any time before ITA. I did mine a month or so before ITA as well.deadbird said:Do medicals have to done after ITA?
Although I'm aware that medical can be done anytime, I was under impression that we get a request from CIC for medical and since medical takes only 4-5 days (from appointment to report received by CIC, given the test center is 'e-Medical' equipped), I was suggesting that wait until you receive a request from CIC.deadbird said:I'm not sure what you mean by "You should get request for your (and family member's) medical from CIC" ?

If you expect to wait a long time for ITA, i wouldnt advise it, as your medicals are only valid for a year.
I'll get ITA next draw (PNP nomination), and I did the medicals for my Study Permit last October. My question is, how do I reuse the medicals? If you're in Canada, you can do them pre-ITA if you are reasonably certain you will get an ITA soon. Medicals older than six months won't be accepted by CIC.
