I'm a June 2012 applicant. I've received my MR on March 26th. CAS status changed from application received to In process today.
I've following questions...

1) Does this indicate my documents are ok...especially experience verification?
2) I've been living in Canada for last 3+ years. Do I get RCMP check request from CIC later? Or based on medicals will CIC ask for PPR? If RCMP check is mandatory, I'm planning to go for it before CIC asks for it, to save some time.

Thanks.

When did you apply ? Are you a single applicant ?

I applied on June 29th with dependents.

1. Based on current procedures (always subject to change), when the CIC requests RPRF payment and Biodata form, this means that your eligibility check is complete (work experience and language requirements) - usually the MR also means that you're eligible, but there have been exceptions. The RPRF and Biodata explicitly state that you meet the eligibility requirements when it comes.
2. RCMP fingerprint checks are not mandatory - if they need them, they will request them. It depends on the results of your initial criminality check (e.g. if your name matches someone with a record, or through random selection).
