Hello

I completed my medicals couple of days back but as usual , 'murphy' striked and accordingly I reported a high blood pressure during my physical examn.The doc said 140/96 was high but there is nothing to worry as far as the Canada immigration is concerned

Can anyone share his/her experience facing high BP during medicals and CICs decision on the same?

cheers!

Hey...
It is most probably OK, but they might ask for some additional tests (for example blood test to monitor kidney function (creatinine) and/or more intensive urine test).
Have your DMP tried to measure the BB again after you have rested for 10-15 min? That would be an appropriate thing to do...
In any case, you better monitor your BB - your lower one (96) is kind of high.

@barabashka
When a you say additional tests,I am assuming existing DMP would have already taken care of it while taking performing blood/urine tests..I am hoping you are not referring to additiona medical tests after the medical forms have been sent to ottawa

cheers!

Hi IT applicant,
If DMP did some additional tests, he had to inform you about that. If he didnt, he probably didnt do any.
Most probably in Ottawa they will agree with your DMP, but sometimes they can ask for additional tests and your DMP will have to perform them.
Its a remote possibility - but its possible.

Thnx barabashka

Well I remember DMP commenting that while he was talking to me while taking BP measurement,it as fluctuating and made the comment that 'DMP are normal human beings only..:)'

I suppose he agreed to the fact that it was more of a white coat syndrome..In any case he said that if there is any problem,it will come in blood/urine tests..I guess he would asked for a Creatinine test for me from laboratory where I did my blood/urine test

cheers!
