Hello again,

Tomorrow morning I'm going to have my medical exam.

Now we were wondering....

We are still waiting for a few declarations from friends to come in, which we are sending along with our application, which will take a week or two.

Is it a problem if the CIC recieves my medical exam two weeks before they recieve our application?

From what I understand this is fine, the medical forms are sent off by the doctor and are held for up to one year, after which they expire and you may be required to re-do your exam.

My exam was done a few weeks ago as well and I still have to finish up my application and send it off next week.

Hi there, yes it is fine, my husband did his medicals almost 2 months before we had the application sent in.. Good luck to you.

From what I've read here, I thought without the application being in, the file wouldn't be started and the medical would be lost/not attached to the app.

I can get in for my medical and send it in before we even send in the Sponsorship app. Is that what I'm hearing??

You can BUT you don't want to do the medical before you gather most/all of your documentation because the medical has a shelf life of 12 months. Do it last, as the final step to submitting your completed application.

Absolutely no problem. Congratulations on getting so close to the end (I still remember your first post ).

it's not problem, and it gets sent to the VO who matches it up with your file when it comes from CIC. Mine was done in February, and I got approved in July - my ecas now says "medicals have been received" which I assume means that they have matched it up with my file...

the only thing to remember - get the slip from the DMP that you need to enclose to your application - the DMP should be aware and give it to you without having to ask, but it's always worth remembering it...

Remrov - congratulations on being almost done, it seems things are getting together nicely piece by piece, I hope you get to send it very soon!

Yes so agree with Charlie here , had I known then what I know now would have waited on the medical a little longer.

Hi:

My PR application was filed from Buffalo, NY. They requested my medical, updated FBI report & RPRF fee for final processing. After sending me the letter on April 25, the Buffalo office shut down sometime in early June 2012. The website says all Buffalo files have been transferred to Case Processing Pilot office in Ottawa, ON. The website, however, doesn't provide an address in Ottawa where I can send the final docs for approval.

Do you know the postal address where I can send the docs? My 90 day period for providing info expires July 25, 2012. Is the address below the right one?

In his future medical examination, does his family also need to undergo such exam?
It says here on the guide for the principal applicant:
"PROOF OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Include for yourself and each of your family members (accompanying and non-accompanying) Copy 2 of the Medical Report-Section A that the designated medical practitioner will sign and give to you when you undergo the medical examination. See Appendix C for additional information."
