hi guys

im getting ready to submit my documents (family sponsorship Australian Outland, application) and then travel to Canada to visit my wife.

the check list states the medical is optional at this point.

Can i do the medical in Canada at the required time?

If you're applying outland, you should do the medical up front to avoid delays. You can do the medical anywhere provided it is with one of the doctors on CIC's list.

To avoid any possible delays you should do it up front. BUT you could wait to do it when they request it during your application, this could cause delays though! Like the person above said you can do it anywhere in the world as long the doctor is on the CIC lost.

You should definitely do the medical before submitting the app. Sydney is a very fast office and as said above, there will most likely be a delay if CIC has to request the medical from you.

just a thought.

what happens if a do the medical and they are slow in processing my papers, is there a risk my medical would expire, and I would have to redo it?

The medical is valid for a year. Unless you have major red flags, your app will not take even close to that long.

excellent :)

And now you give you time to help others?

Very commendable of you my friend.

and of course the same for all the other wonderful people here :)
