I am expecting the ITA shortly. Can me and my family members go-ahead for the medical tests before the ITA is received. The reason I want to do is to speed the process

Panel Doctor may ask the ITA letter for medical test ... in our case they asked ... so better to wait till ITA invitation.
Or check the draw date ( next planned/scheduled , eg: Wed or Friday) and plan accordingly by booking the slot with panel Dr.

Even my empanelled hospital asked for the ITA letter when I had called pre-ITA. When I actually went for the tests after ITA and told them this is an upfront exam, they realised that the ITA letter is not required. I understand that in most countries, they give you the eMedicals information sheet on the same day as your tests but in my country they wait for all the results to come through, upload it to the eMedicals portal and only then give the document to the applicant. So I lost a couple of weeks because of this. Having said that, the COPR is valid only until the expiry of the medical test. So I think it is better to do it immediately after ITA.
