You don't need to show the physical funds - they'll accept a bank statement showing that you have the funds on deposit somewhere. If you bring $10,000 or more in cash you MUST declare it to CBSA. If you have a bank draft that is payable to you there's no extra paperwork. This is an anti-money-laundering issue - there are no currency controls in Canada, but they do watch the flow of cash (and "cash equivalents") because they are more likely to be involved in illegal commerce.

If the funds are not in Canadian dollars, I would include a currency conversion (I use xe.com for example, but any currency conversion tool is sufficient) to CAD to make it easy for the CBSA officer.

Good luck!

Hi,

I have applied for PR for Canada and i have received my medical and it has also been received by CIC.
My question is if a person has a fatty liver and high cholesterol triglycerides acid

So i thought i'd be rejected under "excessive demands on the Canadian health care system"

Can anyone confirm my thought's that i'm likely to be refused? Or give any more info?

Hi Yo YO,

Were you diagnosed with fatty liver during the Medeical Exam for Canada or previously? If previously did you tell them you had it before they done the tests?
I have fatty liver too, but haven't done the Medical Exams for Canada yet.
Regards,

Application received at CIO on 17 June 2009,

Complete Application Package received by VO Islamabad in December 2009,

Application transferred to VO London on 30 June 2010,

Application reviewed at processing started at VO London on 24 January 2012.

It's almost 16 months now so when should I expect the medical request?

Isn't it late?
