Hi All,

I came across the thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-exams-t330674.15.html. The concern is point # 2 listed below

2) CONVULSIONS, BLACKOUTS, OR EPILEPSY
With a history of convulsions, blackouts, or epilepsy, the details from the applicant should include the type of disorder, the age of onset, any precipitating factors, current drugs taken, and the frequency of attacks, severity and squeal

I understand that we have to disclose if suffering from any of the above, can this be a reason of rejection of my application on medical grounds? Anybody else in the same boat who has already done with his medicals and would like to share his result here.

Would really appreciate as this directly affects my application.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

inputs would be really appreciated!

could be if your report says its a big threat and you have to continue your medication for long time.

But I feel this thing is curable if proper medication is taken.

So doesnt looks like a big burden for Canada as part of health care concerns..

But please consult your family doctor if you are in Canada as they know better....

Plz dont rely on someone in such matters to answer you correctly better to ask your doctor and they can directly consult panel physician for their opinion too...

Good luck buddy....

Hi Ntwkengg,

Thank you for your reply. First , congratulations on your ITA and wish you all the best for the remainder of the process. I am taking medication for past 10+ years for the same and currently everything is under control. The last fit I had was more than 3 years ago. I am currently in India. Early this year, I have brought a term insurance plan of INR 1 CR for which I pre-declared my condition, the insurance company issued me the policy after due diligence. I am just not sure if I should pre-declare this for PR medicals as this can't be traced back by any tests (in case it results in rejection). Is there any source wherein CIC explicitly states what all medical conditions leads to failure?

You must declare it. Don't worry about how they'll find out that you left it out. Not mentioning it is misrepresentation and you could be removed from Canada if you get PR and you're found to have left off such information.
