Medical send with PR App ok?

Is it ok to get a Medical done a month prior to sending in your PR app, and send them in with the PR spousal app? I was curious because I want to send my Police Cert and medical in with my app to avoid delays. I plan on doing inland.

You no longer can take an upfront medical exam. Panel physicians are not authorized to perform those anymore, starting December 2016. You will have to wait until CIC requests it.

Nope. Not an option. You must wait until they request it and take with you a pre-populated form which they send you with the request.

The doctor will ask when booking if you have received your medical request.

It's same for everyone so not as if it will have any negative impact on your processing time.

You need the IME number the CIC gives you with your medical request to even book at appointment with a CIC certified physician. This is because your medical report needs to less than 12 months old when you receive COPR, thus, if you get your medical done prior to submitting your application, you risk your medical expiring by the time your PR gets approved and then you need to re-do the medical. This has happened to a few people on this forum recently and in actually fact can delay the processing of your application!

Yes, you can. Just keep in mind they need to within the past 6 months when the IRCC officer processes them. Thus, if for whatever reason your application is returned, you will need to factor in the time it takes to re-submit and go back in the queue. Again, there is a risk of needing to provide new certificates again if they exceed 6 months. But it's up to you!

Retuned as in the application is not complete. If the immigration officer isn't satisfied the you have submitted enough documentation proving your relationship, or you miss a form, or fill in a form incorrectly, they return the application to you without processing. A lot of attention to detail is required when preparing these applications! You have to read the Complete Guide with a fine tooth comb! The IRCC says that you do not need to submit the police certificates with the initial application, but that you start the process of obtaining them soon after you submit. That way they are ready to upload online when you get the request to do so.

They do say they will ask for your police certificate during the process so you don't have to send it in with the application. In fact I think (maybe wrong) it says on the checklist or in the guide that they will request it later.

I understand you trying to be forward thinking and giving them everything they want at once but personally I would give them what they want WHEN they ask for it. That is the process.

When my wife was looking for doctors to do her medical, we had a doctor tell us she could create all the info herself that cic would need to do our medical. Not sure if this is possible. We didn’t end up using her. Maybe someone else can confirm if this is possible?

You definetly should be going to a Panel physician approved by the CIC.

Only consider the people on these list to do your Medical. Or else it will definetly be not good

Doesn't CIC suggest to submit your Police Cert with the application? I do understand it getting old by the time they review it, which makes sense. I guess I can request the FBI background check right after I send in the app seeing how it takes 2-3 months to get. How long after you submitted did you get the schedule A request?

We ended up using a guy off that list. This woman was also on that list though. She did not seem familiar with the changes that cic had made at the time with the New app packages
