Not sure about the other provinces but for Ontario master/ PHD stream July and August should have the most applicants as ppl get graduated in June and 2 months later they get nomination and will submit applications to CIC

for express entry we are required to do upfront medical test isnt it?

You guys are waaaaaaaaay too early to expect your Medical Request. People submitted theit applications on/after June 1st are still waiting. So September applicants probably will have to wait untill June 2016!

It is not only about the month you suit application.
I know someone who applied through ainp as a truck driver in June last year who is already pr now.

It is not only about when you suit. Mr is after background checks. ..some countries communicate with cic faster and some slower

Today one august applicant I heard of got MR
It definitely is not only about when application is submitted. No one can predict each ones time.
All just habe to wait

my bf is an April applicant and he got his MR January 14th, he got reminder email at the same time. So I think it's way too soon to expect to have MR.

It seems like CIC has been changing around the order the they do things (likely to see what is more efficient) So, I wouldn't look to much at the oder and timing past applications got requests in. Also as different offices process at a different speed its more important to compare time lines with that of the same VO as your own.

It does seem like MR is coming near the end of the process rather than the beginning. This saves people having to redo medical if the application is delayed more than a year. It also seems like the current total processing time is a year (at least for inland applications). I have a feeling this time will decrease as they seem to be catching up on backlogged applications. So if you are an inland application expect to have COPR in just under a year and expect you MR to be about 2 months before you get COPR.
