Medical Request

Hi Everyone,

Quick question…

I applied for my second CEC back in June and got my AOR July 14th, 2014 after my first application was rejected due to an error on my behalf. The problem was that CEC took 5 months to return the initial application and reject it so in the meantime my International Experience Canada (IEC) visa expired and my application for my BOWP was rejected. I had to leave Canada in October and am currently overseas but with a medical request potentially coming up in the next month or two I wanted to know if I will need to return to Canada to get this done as applied within Canada or whether I can get a medical done in an alternative Country such as the UK, where I am originally from. I have temporarily located to Dubai for the foreseeable future, so just need to know if I definitely have to go back to Canada to do the Medical should I get that far of course

You can do your medical wherever you are! You donot have to be in Canada. In the following link you can find a certified medical practitioner in your area.

Do an upfront exam prior to submitting the application to CIC.

My application has already been submitted and I should get the medical request in the next month or two providing the officer approves my application against my specified NOC code. I would get it done now but I don't particularly want to spend the money if there is a slight chance my application does get rejected so I'll just wait get it done ASAP IF I do get the Medical Request!
