Hi mom2karl,

A big congrats to you...

I have almost the same timelines with you my process started on 20th July and yours, I believe, started on the 14th, hoping to hear from them soon also but I doubt it as my visa office is in Singapore (quite a busy one)...but still, hearing your good news give me a ray of hope....: )

Can I ask one question...did the visa office called ur office to check?

It's always nice hearing someone is moving fast...: )

Again, Congratulation!

Warm regards,

Congratulations mom2kari,

I am really pleased to see your case outcome. Just a few days ago you were worried and inquiring from the forum. Today you could proudly give your experience. Thank HIS blessings. May you have a prosperous life in Canada.

Regards,

Manj

mom2karl,
congratulations!
where do you plan to take your medical examination, nationwide or st luke's?
nationwide submits the medical results in approximately 10 to 15 days.
st luke's submit results in 1 week. but people say the doctors are very strict with the examination.

Thanks for all the warm wishes dear friends!

If ever I get the visa I will not leave until my son graduates from preparatory school in March because he & his grandpa have agreed that grandpa will pin his medal on him.

@Manj, you were right, swaps82 can attest to that. Just a few days ago I was at my wit's end having sleepless nights not knowing what to expect and being quiet all the time and just having thoughts like 'what if' and 'i should have...'.

@honeydew, no, they didn't call up my office which I thought they would. I think if the duties you listed are in the reference letter, they will not call your office anymore.

All in all, it took 4 months from the time I sent my initial application to Sydney NS in April 1 up to receiving my medicals yesterday, July 30. Local visa office received my full application on July 1.

Thanks everyone for the info and experiences you shared in this forum that has guided me a lot.
Best of luck to all!

hi cpa2canada..

as for me...urinalysis, chest xray, blood sample for HIV and Syphillis testing, Physical Exam (PE)

for my 11 yr old., chest xray and urinalysis, PE
my 9 y.o, urinalysis,PE
5 y.o below, just PE

Good luck!

hello mom2karl....

Dito na ako..hehehe
Same predicament here. as regards time of migration...If ever we receive visa within the year, we will still postpone our travel by eatly next year...giving my daughter the chance to graduate in grade 6 coz that was her request beforehand....so request will be granted

As for medical preps..not much..ONLY that.. you have to really drink plenty of water...but this has not been a great preparation for me since..I hydrate myself frequently with H20 regularly everyday.....So hope, u will have no problem with that as well....And as for your 5 yr old kid...double hydrate him/her...Make sure you have continuous supplementation of your vits daily so as not to acquire flu or other illness...Avoid going to public places prior to med exam date( sick people that u might encounter)....so that you will really be in top shape and condition on your med exam day!

Sleep early the night prior the exam (but his I was not able to follow..hehhehe, I actually did some readings over the internet about impt matters), On the day of the exam: stay calm and relaxed...in a maater of hours , you will be done and over...

God bless mom2karl....

Che....thanks a lot for the idea on the medicals....keep us posted....lets pray for each other...
