Can a spouse be Inadmissible on medical grounds??
Short answer: no. Most things just require treatment and follow-up in Canada, like communicable diseases (often comes up with eg tuberculosis).

It may get more complicated in rare cases like a psychiatric condition that presents a danger to others.

Does it mean if one even have active tuberculosis, and being sponsored under family class as a spouse, cant be Inadmissible on this.
Right?

So why do they waste our time in unnecessary further tests on a mere doubt:confused:
They should just let us go.

They can and do put conditions on entry such as medical follow up in Canada.

They're required by law to ensure those entering don't cause harm to Canadians.

O so active tuberculosis spouse cant enter into Canada.
If yes, then it makes sense of them taking more and more tests:confused:

I think it may be more clear to think of 'inadmissibility' as meaning a refusal of the application - as opposed to just being made to get tuberculosis treated first before the application can get final approval.

Tests are needed to determine if the TB is active or inactive.

If active, the TB needs to be treated before your spouse will be allowed to come to Canada.

If inactive, your spouse will be allowed to come to Canada but may need to undergo monitoring once here.

1. Isn't going to happen. There is no way that Canada will allow a person in Canada with active TB or anyother contagious disease. . They would have to complete treatment before they would be admitted.

Hi guys,
I was diagnosed with Active TB in IME on 13 April 2021 and completed my treatment on 13 October 2021 and declared cured and non infectious . It's been 3 months now but we haven't received any updates from cic yet. My application type is family sponsorship and it is in process since 2019.

If you have UCI, go ahead and do a new medical and submit it.

You are right but ircc did not ask for re-medical while I cannot get re-medical on my own. My treatment has been done by the panel physician's doctor and my clearance report has been sent to RMO. It's been 3 months now.
OK, then IRCC will get back to you.
