HI

Im planing to go do my medical in canada, i saw they ask for urine and blood samples.
I have a thyroid problem and im taking a medicine that has diazepam, is back from my home country,
i didnt needed prescription to buy it there and i brought it with me to canada.

Now, if i do a medical, theres a chance it will show in my urine as some kind of anfetamine, dont know exactly what they test for.

Is this a problem? what can happen? do they test for this kind of drugs? if they do and i test positive whats the consequences?
hope someone can explain, thank you so much.

For a Spousal sponsorship applicant, the medical restrictions are quite relaxed. They are mainly concerned with anything that could be a danger to the public, (like active Tuberculosis for example).

It's possible that CIC could request additional testing for your condition, but I don't believe that the results would cause your application to be denied.

Good luck!
