Hi everyone,
I have applied for my mother's Canadian Super Visa, but during her medical examination, some spots were found on her chest X-ray.
The medical officials informed us that she needs to provide a sputum (mucus) sample tomorrow. They will send the test report to IRCC, which may take approximately 15 days.
They also told us that my mother needs to be examined by a doctor recommended by them and return after three months for another chest X-ray. According to them, her medical examination will not be cleared until the follow-up X-ray is completed.
My mother has no symptoms and is feeling completely fine, so this situation has made me quite worried.
Could anyone please share their experience if they or their family members have gone through a similar situation during a Canadian Super Visa medical examination?

- Is this something to be seriously concerned about?
- If the sputum test comes back negative, is there any possibility that IRCC could clear her medical earlier or will she still have to wait three months for another X-ray?
- Has anyone experienced a similar situation, and what was the outcome of their application?
