My wife is heading to Moscow for medical does all the family needs to have medical also?
From the way they wrote this sounds like all need to do medical even if they are not being sponsored or coming to Canada. Only my wife is being sponsored no one else.

Ok question from this form:

Appendix C
Fill out this form and take it with you to your medical appointment.
You and all your family members who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents must fill out Appendix C and undergo and pass a medical examination, whether they will be joining you in Canada or not. Make enough photocopies of this page for your needs before you start filling the boxes.
For complete instructions about your medical examination and how to find a Panel Physician, read the Medical Instructions section in IMM 3999, Part 2: The Immigrant's Guide.

Please reply if you have experience for Russia applicants only as this form is different for different country. Does someone have hands on experience.

thanks
Yan

When they talk about family, they mean you, your spouse and any dependents.

Yes, only those on the application (principal applicant + any dependents you are sponsoring). It was confusing for me as well...family could mean everyone...but for the purposes of CIC, it's only spouse or children.

Not so. If you have children who will not be traveling to Canada, they still need medicals.

thanks Fencesitter this answers precisely what I am dealing with. They surely need to review this CIC form. Cheers

They are very clear that 'family' only means the spouse or partner, and children, at the beginning of the whole pack of info about how to fill in the forms. Except, of course, for the one form where they do want your parents and siblings listed. To CIC, it is clear that 'family' does not have its usual meaning in the forms.
Judging from the number of questions about this, however, CIC is wrong in thinking that their instructions are clear.
