Medical expired visa valid

I have a dependent work permit.. my kids study permit and my visa will expire in April 2021.. I did the medical in oct 2019 and was not able to travel to Canada due to lockdown.. now I plan to rejoin with my husband and look for a job there.. I need a clarification whether I have to redo the medical again as I have not travelled after stamping.. in many forums they say medical exam is valid only for 12 months.. please help

Hey Guys, same thing happened to me. My medical got expired as I got it done last year in feb. Couldn't travel due to covid.
I need to know if I can just directly retake my medical and it will be updated in my visa
