Medical examination when moving permanently

Hi All,

Need some urgent advice. We did our soft landing last year in May (1.5 yrs back) and got our PR cards. Now we are moving to Toronto for good. Do we need to get the CIC medicals done again? Is the latest medical required for getting OHIP (provincial health insurance) or during immigration.

If you've landed already you do not need to do medicals again. Residency is required for OHIP.

You do not need anything. You are a PR and you can return to Canada anytime.

For the OHIP, as soon as you land, visit Service Ontario and register for the OHIP. Only after 3 months, the OHIP Will start.
