Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone. Would like to ask for help on this:

1. My spouse and I live in Canada. We submitted to Vegreville office the Spouse Sponsorship-In Canada - Family Class application last month (around January 2012).

2. I did not include a medical examination form (IMM 1017 a.k.a EDE medical report form) because I read the CIC website and it says there that you are not required to do medical tests before you submit initial application.

3. I called up CIC call center last week. The person I talked to said that I should have included the medical report form (IMM 1017) when I sent my whole PR application pack last January 2011.

4. I was told by that call center person to do my medical test now in any DMP and tell the DMP to send the results to them.

5. I called up a DMP in Toronto and the clerk said they will send the medical results to Ottawa within 3 weeks

Here are my questions:
1. Just in case I will go to DMP this week immediately, how will CIC Vegreville know that I have already done the medicals? I am worried that they might send back my whole application pack back to me again because they cant find my medical form EDE. That means making the wiating time longer again for us. What do you think shoudl I do?

2. Any nice DMP in Toronto that you can recommend? I am perfectly healthy as far as I know since last year, but still, I am looking for a DMP that won't be so meticulous; and a DMP that will send fast and reliable the results to visa office.

3. Aside from the urine, blood tests, xrays, etc, will the DMP require me to strip to do a routine check up? Because based on the DMP list in Toronto, I saw 10 male doctors and only 2 females. I tried to call the femall doctors' numbers but no one answered. That's why I would like to know if it's okay to pick a male doctor for the medical test. What do you think?

Would very much appreciate any relevant info and answers from all forum members. Thanks and God bless everyone.

Hi there,

I had made the same mistake when I was sponsoring my husband. I read the Medical Exam as, the Visa Office will ask for Medicals once the application was reviewed. Only difference is that I am applying outland. I contacted the VO aboard and they said to do the exam as soon as possible and the DMP will send the results electronically to them. Then my spouse is supposed to fax/email the original medical report (DMP provided it) to the VO. I am assuming Inland is the same process. It shouldn't cause much delay in the process.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply. I will have my medical exam next week. Doctor's secrtetary said they will send results to Ottawa after 2 weeks. In your case, did you fax or did you email your medical report to the VO? May I please know fax number and/or email address. Thanks.
