Hi everybody,
I've recently had to redo my medical exam, as the last one expired. The doctor asked when the last time I was sexually active was. I'm a virgin, so I said ''I'm not.'' He asked ''so not in the last year?'' I replied ''no''. I'm confused by the follow up question - because of course it is no if i've just said I'm not sexually active. In hindsight I feel like there may have been a miscommunication around my answer and what he possibly wrote down.
This was completely unintentional, and I answered both questions honestly. The doctor asked no follow up questions. Should I have asked for clarification or been more specific? My medical results have already been sent to IRCC. Is this something I need to inform them about? Or am I overrthinking this? Obviously I don't want this to negatively affect my visa, so I'm worried.
Thank you for your advice.

You're overthinking.

Really? Do you know why he asked the follow up question? I assume it's so he can get a picture of my sexual health risk, which would be low?
Its not that hard to see why... "I am not" is not exactly the answer of "When were you last ....". It just means you are not "...." now. Were you EVER "...." or just no longer "...."? Thats why the follow up question: "Were you .... in last one year?". The guideline for evaluation must be to "If .... in last one year, check for X, Y and Z diseases.". Body usually clears infections in due time and they only are worried about active infections. Specific long term diseases like HIV are tested separately.

Thank you for your answer, I really appreciate it. So you think I have nothing to worry about? It is hard not to second guess everything in the visa process.
