I am wondering if A dual citizen needs/is able to receive Health insurance for both countries? My son is a dual citizen and he is currently covered under his mother's OHIP, but since I am an American and we are in the US often, if I need to get him health insurance in the US as well.

OHIP will pay a very tiny portion of out-of-country medical expenses (in the US or elsewhere), but it's pennies on the dollar and wouldn't come close to covering any real medical costs incurred in the US.

Also depending on how "often" and for how long he's in the US in any year, need to make sure he's still maintaining the residency requirement in Ontario for OHIP.
