what is the next request from the canadian embassy after submitting your medical?

Depends on your situation. Possibly just the background check gets done then you get DM and PPR. Or they may ask for additional documents about your relationship or anything they are unsure about.

Once your medical examination has been completed the Panel Physician will submit medical results to IRCC for assessment.........the medical result updated takes 1 week, or more.

After medical......its not unusual not to hear from IRCC for months.........the next step will be Background Check which takes awhile to complete.........followed by final review by VO......before request for passport.........how long to complete these steps after medical depends on the VO and on a case basis........just go with the 12months processing completion time to help reduce waiting stress.......relax......its a wait game.
