Hi,
I received medical+passport and RPR Fee request today.
The problem is that the embassy has asked me to provide original passports of my family members too (who are not co-applicants with me at this time and are currently in another country and will travel back home on 23rd Jan 2011 on their passports).

My question is that does the embassy really need family original passports even when they are not co-applicants or is there a chance of mistake on the part of embassy ?

Plz advise!

in your application, did you mentioned that you are not accampaign your family??

@ Baiyang
if you have mentioned in your application form that your family members will be accompanying you and if you have not submitted copies of their passport earlier, then i believe you will have to produce their passports to VO. Strange to heat that the VO has asked for original passports of your family members.
why to take chances and after all its a matter of a weeks time only.

Baiyang,

Congratulations on passport request.

You can email the CHC and ask about the submission of your co-dependents passport( which are not accompnying you). Tell them your difficulty. And if it is mistake from CHC, they have chance to correct it.

Congrats ,pls do get back to cic to avoid unneccessary bottle neck.
All the best.

Ig

Hi,
The confusion is over.
I am told by the concerned embassy that no need to provide passports of no-accompanying family members, hence a request for the same was a mistake by the embassy.

I am thankful to all who contributed to the post & hope it might be useful for some future applicant.
