I have a question about health care coverage - my husband and I have a surprise pregnancy.
I am wondering if applying for Apple Health (Medicaid) and using that to help cover prenatal/hospital care costs would be seen by Canadian immigration as a problem.
My impression from what I've read here is that this would indeed be a problem, and Canada would reject me.
If that's the case, I need to know, so that I can apply for other more costly insurance options.
Over the past couple of years we've been paying for our few health care needs out-of-pocket, and we simply can't afford to do that anymore with the prenatal care and especially the hospital birth.
I want to make sure I don't mess anything up. We are going to do the sponsorship program (our application won't be processed until some time after I give birth) and I just want everything to work out okay.
Thanks for your help.
