My profile is

I assume your motive is to join a PhD program here in Canada. I'm a ( B.Eng + M.A.sc ) student here at Carleton and have seen a lot of candidates here in Ottawa. Even though it's just been 3 years since I started this program, I've seen a lot of Indian candidates currently pursuing their PhD here. Your grade considering Carleton is good. Waterloo might ponder over your B.Sc grade quite a bit. Others might take you in. PhD with only 1 publication might also be questionable. Just make sure you're SOP explains most of the fallacies and you'll be fine.

My motivation is to pursue MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering as my current MSc degree was more focusing on Quality and Maintenance Management and I'm now more interested in Automation and Mechatroncis. Therefore I decided to earn another MSc degree, one reason to align my future career with the global trend another is to safely immigrate into Canada, thanks for your reply.
