I'm about to apply in CEC.

I'm seeing lots of Abbreviations like RPRF, PPR, AuG etc., Can anyone let me know some important terms in this process?

I feel like doing 1 positive thing today, so here it goes... 8)

CEC - Canadian Experience Class
AOR - Acknowledgment of Receipt
MR - Medical request
RPRF - Right of permanent residence fee
PPR - Passport request
COPR - Confirmation of permanent residence
Counterfoil - Visa attached to passports of non-visa exempt countries

PCC - Police clearance certificate
IELTS - International English language testing service
CELPIP - Canadian English language proficiency index program
NOC - National occupational classification
OB - Operational bulletin
IRPA - Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
eCAS - Electronic client application status
GCMS - Global case management system
VO - Visa officer
CIO - Centralized Intake Office
CPPO - Case Processing Pilot Ottawa
BOWP - Bridged open work permit
PGWP - Post graduation work permit
WP - Work permit

Eligibility - CIC evaluation of your compliance with all requirements (pass or fail)
Medical - Applicants medical exam when requested by CIC
Criminality - PCC sent with application, including CIC independent checks and RCMP (when requested)
Security - Checks completed by CSIS

CIC – Citizenship and Immigration Canada (on some pages the name CIC has been updated to IRCC)

IRCC : Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

AOR – Acknowledgement of Receipt : Initial confirmation from CIC that they have received your file/application.

CEC – Canadian Experience Class

CELPIP – Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program. : One of the English language tests, similar to IELTS

CIO – Centralized Intake Office

CoPR – Confirmation of Permanent Residence

CLB – Canadian Language Benchmarks

CPC – Case Processing Centre

CIO – Centralized Intake Office

CRS – Comprehensive Ranking System

DMP – Designated Medical Practitioner : Your medical tests must be performed by a Designated Medical Practitioner.

ECA – Educational Credential Assessment

e-CAS – e-Client Application Status: Online service provided by CIC wherein applicants can view the status and progress of their application

e-APR – Electronic Application for Permanent Residence

FSW – Federal Skilled Worker

GCMS – Global Case Management System

HRSDC – Human Resources and Skills Development Canada

ITA – Invitation to Apply

LMIA – Labour Market Impact Assessment ; It is a document that Canadian employers may need to get before hiring a foreign worker.
